RM IBCLC Alison is a certified Havening Practitioner and Trainer based in North London UK. She has been a midwife for over 25 years, a breastfeeding counsellor and lactation consultant for the past 22 years. Alison is the author of the groundbreaking book Baby Talk to Me.
She uses Havening in her work supporting women and families on their fertiity, pregnancy, birth and early parenting journeys.
Alison has a particular interest in pre and perinatal psychology and uses Havening to regress people back to their own in-utero and birth experiences - the place where limiting beliefs often stem.
This work supports women to heal any birth imprints they may have from their own pre birth experiences that affects them in their curent life or their ability to conceive or birth their babies without trauma.
With the knowledge and experience Alison has in this field she is acutely aware of the need for emotional support in pregnancy for the mother and ultimately her baby. Babies are exposed to all of the mothers thoughts, feelings and emotions whilst in-utero, which is why Havening is such a powerful tool to reduce stress and buld emotional resilience during pregnancy.
She also assists those who experience birth trauma, breastfeeding grief, miscarriage, fears around becoming a mother or fear of birth along with reducing fears during pregnancy and labour with the use of Havening.
She also works with healthcare professionals and birthworkers who have experienced work related trauma.
In her role as a Havening Trainer, Alison trains midwives, doulas, birth workers, fertility coaches and anyone else that is interested in supporting mothers on their conception, pregnancy, birth, parenting and baby loss journeys.
